We sample macroinvertebrates from both river and lake sites using the standard 3 ½ minute kick and search method.

Samples are preserved in ethanol and are archived pending analysis in our laboratories. Hess and Surber sampling methods are also used to perform quantitative assessments of invertebrate populations. We can also provide bespoke sampling methods used to detect the presence of invasive or rare species.
